  1. Have not watched this episode yet but it always feels cartoonish to me. Any scene involving Alice especially. Part of the charm imo

D-Train is absolutely the man but he’s about to have some problems!!

They really elevated his role from S1. Probably because people loved him so much.

Almost caught up. Def agree with the cartoonish comments. It’s been fun but leaning heavily into the cheese. I really loved s1 but finding this season a bit underwhelming. Realizing as I watch that it’s not quite something I take seriously but still find enjoyment in it.

Every time I see him I have to convince my brain that he’s not computer-animated. There’s something about his screen presence that’s uncanny and makes me think I’m not watching a real human being lol. I have no idea what that’s about

I agree, something with his face doesn’t seem real.

he’ll live forever in the sound of broken glass

He’s in an episode of Doctor Who and i didn’t think he looked fake. But in Ted Lasso and this show idk what’s up, looks fake.

Yeah Derek 1 was a whole different person and it's heartbreaking

Derek 2 is too perfect, I'm scared

I really like the feeling of listening to the full version of songs that are theme songs. There's this cool feeling of like, what surrounds that 30 seconds you have heard so many times

Jimmy made some poor choices here but I can certainly empathize with feeling ambushed and reacting poorly. “You should forgive him” is probably a good long term goal but is absolutely not what he needed to hear from his daughter minutes after finding out what’s been going on

The stuff in the flashback with him and Alice was a really well done recontextualization of the beginning of the show though. Feels like his behavior was played a bit more for laughs early in season 1, but getting Alice’s perspective here shows how dark it actually was

The Alice Boman song that closes this episode always puts me in a mood. A+ needle drop there

Loving the direction we’re going with Paul this season. The prickly stuff is always a slam dunk, but the vulnerability takes the character from good to great

Were Liz and Derek’s kids just like, listening to their conversation about infidelity before being summoned in? And then pretending like it didn’t happen?
