For the first time ever, you will get to see the infamous deleted gore footage from 1981’s FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 2! (And yes, it includes THAT “Jeff and Sandra” scene.). The footage is from a vintage VHS tape (we say this so to manage picture quality expectations) but it’s all there! We couldn’t be more thrilled at this “holy grail” discovery and we thank those immensely who helped us track it down.

Did you personally contribute to this set? I know Sean said he wasn’t asked, which is awfully funny that this set DOES include location visits, but not the HHG variety lol. This is a superb set, such a solid find with that Part 2 footage!

Hey I know you’re doing Twins, that baby better have a slipcover to go with the rest of the Shout titles I own! I know Very Bad Things didn’t have one

 

Unfortunately no slip cover on Twins, Select titles only get slip covers when it's newly commissioned key art which is why Very Bad things didn't get one either.

 

You guys still have two more months to hire someone to diddle together a drawing and call it key artwork lmao. How does that work though, are you allowed to say?

 

it's definitely a case by case basis. First and foremost, it costs money to hire an artist and get new art made. We have to first make sure the projected sales justify creating new art. For Select, we look at the amount of new bonus features we can get, if it can be a Collector's Edition it's much more likely to get new key art created. Then there's also the studio that owns the content, some studios don't allow for new key art to be created, or won't approve certain key art.

So basically, depends on the project, and for specific reasons we weren't able to create new art for Twins.

I’m willing to bet he has a R-rated copy stashed at his home. That movie was a passion project for Dan, I’d be stunned if he didn’t to be honest.

 

That said, that’s awesome it’s getting a HD release, I’ve seen some YT personalities opine about it and wanted one so I bet they’re stoked.

 

I don't know. Movie studios are notorious for locking away different cuts of movies and deleted scenes and not giving it away unless there's a deal in place.
