Directed by David F. Sandberg from a screenplay by Henry Gayden and Darren Lemke. Starring Asher Angel as the young Billy Batson; Zachary Levi as Billy's superheroic alter ego, Shazam; Djimon Hounsou as the ancient wizard (also named Shazam) who gives Billy his powers; Mark Strong as the villainous Dr. Sivana; Grace Fulton as Mary Bromfield; Jack Dylan Grazer as Freddie Freeman. To be released on April 5th, 2019.

As a big Superman fan, the tone of this makes me super happy and super hopeful that a Cavill contract finalizes soon enough for a Supes appearance.

Also, Shazam doing the floss dance is pretty perfect, lol.

I’ve always loved Captain Marvel and the Marvel family. So this is truly exciting.
