Yeah I never trusted her but I did not see THAT. Can’t wait to read the book and go back and watch it again.

 

This show makes me feel so uncomfortable.

Enjoyed the show. Reading about the mid credit scene really fleshes out the story even more.

 

So what are the theories as to why Amma and her friends were killing these girls?

 

The book gives a very clear answer to that.

Loving the reactions from y'all! It legit threw me for a loop when I read the book. I have 4 more episodes of the series to watch so I can't wait to see it all go down.

 

john made a mention that adora had a “club of sad girls” or whatever and his sister was part of it. i’d imagine, similar to mae, amma just hated other girls getting more attention than her. and the skating girls were always more passive and seemed to only operate in whatever way amma allowed them to

So in the end, Amma was a jealous little monster that went around killing people that came between her and the person she wanted to be close to.

First she kills Anne and Natalie because Adora was spending time with them, and then she kills Mae because she's "sucking up" to Camille.

The girls were friends with Amma, but slowly started to just come over to the house and see Adora and take some of Adora's attention away from Amma. They also start to question why Amma is sick and maybe begin to put together that Adora is poisoning her daughter. For fear that Natalie and the other girl will ruin this for her she kills to the two. She's also just a fucking psycho.

 

Eliza Scanlen absolutely knocked it out of the park as Amma. Looking at her IMDB, she's had a few tiny things and then 15 episodes on some soap opera and then this. What a huge leap for her. I'm excited to see her in more.

 

Had no idea she wasn’t American until the discussion after the finale.

What a fantastic show.

 

Eliza stole the series imo. And Amy Adams was fantastic. Great casting. Though when I read the book all I could think of was Elizabeth Moss as Camille, so I had to shake that.

Glad they were faithful with the twist. Hit almost as hard as the book, and I knew it was coming. Impressive.

I could always tell Amma was fucking crazy but holy shit that ending. I didn’t even think of it as a possibility until someone mentioned it on Twitter lol.

 

Yeah I definitely thought we were going down an incest/brainwashing/town cult route and she was involved. Didn’t expect this to be the answer but Mama being the only one didn’t either so I was suspicious even after she was caught.
