finally got to spin epic Ten. it's a solid listen but no doubt the Big Red Machine and Fiona Apple covers are doing the heavy lifting. I liked the IDLES and Courtney Barnett ones well enough but they were a bit more plain than I was hoping for - really did not like what they did with "Dsharpg" and "One Day" at all, especially because they're tied for my favourites on the album

all that said I'm glad this colossal record is getting a bit more attention and this has all got me wanting to write a little retrospective on the original (and how it's absolutely fucking flawless)

 

The run from I Told You Everything to Seventeen is perfection

 

"Hands" tho

 

beautiful, the cover rules and "Let Go" is still one of the greatest songs in her discog. she doesn't miss
