a lot of thsi stuff he played when i saw him back opening for vagabon. very guitar based, incredibly different than his older stuff
Surprise! So excited to check this. Shamir is the best.
Why is the dl link 56 kbps
I'm so bummed the dl is such low quality. I feel it would sound better if I ripped and chopped the SoundCloud version.
This is so good though. Where the folks at for this one?
i haven't listened yet, it's hard with such a poor quality download and no streaming sites yet
i've gotten lazy with age and streaming, lol
I'm starting to question if maybe the low quality is intentional tbh. He talked about how much he loves lo-fi music and maybe his way of really making it sound rough and raw. He did say he's working on getting it to streaming services though.
I hope he tours this record and brings out some of the newer bands from the DIY scenes.
guarantee he will. his drummer on the tour was dexter loos who has drummed/is drumming with alex g/other bands, is super tight with vagabon and philly bands. it's interesting see this sonic change being that he's covered joyce manor and i think alex g in the past
gonna check this out when I get home, was holding off for HQ but it now seems that is likely never coming
I found it surprisingly listenable for 56 kbps lol.
Listening now. Sound quality is surprisingly not terrible. For me anyway
This is really good. That last track is something else
i'm intrigued about this, if it'll be more towards the style from this record or back in his other wheelhouse (or a combination)
this one seems like it'll be more produced at least. father/daughter is a great fit too
Better production would definitely be nice
Well that’s a surprise
