Well as trash as this season was, I did enjoy the finale. It's hard to not be happy about Ian and Mickey's wedding. The Gay Jesus kids blocking Terry was a nice touch. I enjoyed Debbie tricking the Polish lady, and even the new thing she has going with the Milkovich girl. Tami and Lip's blow out was actually good because I actually understood where each of them was coming from and they both had a right to be upset. The scene with Lip going to Brad's house after relapsing was also great. It does suck Fiona wasn't there for Ian's wedding though - that's the one problem with the way she was written off is it's hard to justify her not being at this kind of event (at least make mention of it). Anyway, really hoping that going into the final season will give them a chance to really flesh out the rest of the story rather than dangling 600 new plot threads a week just to see what sticks.
Finale was okay. All the Debbie storyline stuff sucks. Most of Lip’s storyline sucked this season but this episode was good. Liam was probably the best of the season. Overall everything was just too all over the place. Hopefully then can figure out the last season and it ends on a high note.
Yeah, I was looking at some of the cast pics on Instagram, very interesting stuff. Looks like they originally were going to start filming in March then got pushed back, so the whole season was filmed mid-pandemic
It’s crazy how different this show is from the beginning. Seasons 1-5 are some of my favorite TV. Then everything goes way down hill from there.
Yeah...TV shows just shouldn’t last this long. I don’t think I even finished last season, but I’ll probably watch this season just because I have nothing else going on.
I'll watch the whole season. Although the first few seasons were obviously better than now, I never really LOVED the show as a whole, just loved certain characters and storylines. I have never, ever, ever cared for anything Frank, and while I understand his importance to the show, he's the main thing that's always bright it down for me since day 1.
I haven't started the new season yet, but honestly what in the world is this ‘Shameless Hall Of Shame’: Showtime Extends Final Season Of ‘Shameless’ With Recap/Original Series
watched the first episode and it was predictably blah, BUT I will say that it's at least interesting to me to see this as the first show I've watched that happens during COVID.
