My guess is that they couldn't afford to pay either of them what they wanted after 9 seasons and now that Emmy is gone they can.
Cameron actually got announced when they confirmed that it got renewed a couple of months ago, they just kinda hid it in the press release. my assumption is he left because his star was starting to burn pretty bright on Gotham and then Gotham got the axe but idk if that timeline actually lines up at all
Finally finished S9 recently. Never seen a character go downhill so fast on this show like Fiona. At least she comes out somewhat on top towards the end, but damn I thought the show was going for a full on tragic arc for her character, which would've been interesting.
I feel like I just finished the last season not long ago ha. I always end up putting it off after the premiere and not getting to until months later.
Still didn't get to season 9. Really lost motivation with all the key players leaving. Is it worth it? God knows where they go now...
