it's definitely one of those albums (and the band in general) that can sound all over the place and a little unfocused if you aren't paying attention. but by the end of the albums you hit repeat for some reason and it all starts coming together. even my first listen of this the first two songs I was thinking they dropped the ball and made a worse album than songs of praise but by the end of it I just had to hit repeat and they hit in a whole new way.
Just bumping the thread to say I cannot wait to mosh to 6/1 I hope they do a tour where they just play this front to back and then select tracks from Songs of Praise
this album fucking rules so much. i ran to it today and bc it kicks so much ass, i ran for the entire length of the record and didn't really mind.
Yep, very true: it’s been my go-to running record since it came out. “Snow Day” in particular makes me feel amazing.
It's a great venue, I was just there this past weekend...but the lack of easy transportation to get there (yes I know the pink line goes there but it's not *that* close) and the fact that rideshares are so expensive now makes me not hype to go to any shows there. The pink line is fine but not after shows end and it's late. I also don't drive so that adds to my predicament.
This is the best chaotic post-hardcore record since Relationship of Command. This just has the same energy to me. Just new and refreshed. Still my AOTY atm
it might say a lot about me that I don't even classify this type of record as chaotic haha. but yes this record absolutely fucking owns, doubly so at a time when i'm starting to feel like post-punk is slowwwwwly becoming a lil derivative of itself
prolly said this a million times but this is my AOTY We're getting a deluxe edition this November with some demo versions of tracks Drunk Tank Pink (Deluxe Edition) - shame | Secretly Store
