    Sleekest of beaks. So Good.

Shakey Graves (born Alejandro Rose-Garcia on June 4, 1987) is an Americana musician from Austin, Texas, United States.[1]

His music is a cross between blues, folk and rock and roll – he performs at many large festivals and concert venues around the United States. Alejandro Rose-Garcia received his iconic stage name at Old Settler's Music Festival in 2007 after he and his friends jokingly gave each other Indian guide names over a campfire. After an inspired night of playing music, he decided to keep the name.[2]

I caught him Saturday night with City and Colour and he was incredible, so good.

Next Show - Foals April 22nd

Saw him open for C&C in the summer. I enjoyed him but nothing really blew my mind. Seeing that he has some tracking on the forums may lead me to check him out again.

Dug this a lot. Definitely a couple songs that could stand to lose a minute or two though.

Album's a bit weirder than I expected but I think I like it. Seems like a definite grower. "Cops and Robbers" was my fave non-single on first listen.

  17. New album is lovely! I've never listened to Shakey Graves before. I hear a ton of influences/other artists, and I think he hones it better than many indie artists do. This is definitely my type of thing

This new album is up there for biggest disappointment of the year for me

Agreed. All the songs are 6 minutes long and go nowhere. Lowlife is the only one that did anything at all for me. Really disappointing because I still love Can’t Wake Up.
