Honestly, I could get deep into a conversation about her, people like her, and how it often causes deep seated trust issues among trans people (myself included) and their relationship to feminism/cis-feminists, but I don't feel it's worth my time nor that this is the place to do so. With that said, I haven't trusted her for a while, even before this whole "taking the red pill" thing and I'm ultimately glad she's showing her true colors so obviously now that others can see it.

This might help explain why it took me so long to get an appointment with mine recently - I don't recall it being that difficult before this year.

 

I always have to schedule mine months in advance. Sucks if I have to cancel too cause then it takes forever to get a new one, tho luckily my doctor is cool about extending my birth control so I don't run out in the meantime. Actually my eye doctor takes forever too. They schedule me a year in advance. The only one who doesn't take forever is my general. It caught me off guard when I went to the doctor recently for a bad cough cause they got me in that day and I thought it'd be like weeks lol.

Today I was eating at a bar with a friend. A man came up between us with his face in our space and made an "MMMmmmm" noise which obv was creepy but then he walked out so I was like whatevs. But then he came back in and as he walked out again he went between us and this time he touched our arms and then kissed our shoulders. I was so surprised I didn't even say anything. Then he left the bar and came back AGAIN and this time on his way out he touched our arms again and said something about how nice it was to meet us and I STILL didn't say anything but leaned away from him and he backed off.

Like I know it is understandable to freeze up but I'm still annoyed that I did. Espesh cause after he left each time I mentally prepared what I was gonna say if he came back and then he came back twice and I still didn't say it. Meh.

 

I feel you on that. The worst of it is, if I don't call someone out for their unacceptable behavior, I feel guilty and complicit. With guys like that, though, it's even harder to speak up because you don't know if they'll react violently. I mean, shit, you may have saved your own life by freezing up.

 

Yeah it sucked cause he seemed to be a regular and it did occur to me that if I did say something the bartender/patrons night defend him and say I'm overreacting or something. It sucked afterwards cause we had to walk a ways at night to my work cause I had left my car there and needed it, but every man or silhouette I saw i was worried it was that guy and I was super paranoid

i mean, interesting perspective but it's a bit dangerous to say "feminism comes from capitalism, if you're making money you are powerful" it's like a slippery slope to the kind of feminists that shame stay at home moms etc

or maybe I just want to have a problem with everything idk

 

my understanding was that she agrees with you, that it's not a good way to implement feminism bc it elevates rich women above critique when we shouldn't do that
