Highly doubt the Dan Erickson would do that. If I was a betting man, I’d bet that he wants to do a reverse narrative next season where Gemma is now trying to get Mark out but this time he is being held hostage more-so by his innie rather than Lumon
yeahhhh I was wondering about that too. I still think there’s a chance she’s pregnant and she’s probably never experienced the feeling of unconditional love so even if she received it via deception - she still received it and probably doesn’t want to lose it even if it’s.. not for her
Amazing episode. The celebration intro was 1000% Lynchian and beautifully funny and disturbing at once. I think that’s Helly at the end. It’s a confirmation that the innies are now 100% self-invested and “severed” from the interest of their outties. I don’t think they leap frog over that huge narrative shift/heightening for one last “it was really Helena, viewers.” Next season, we get the real innies vs. outties that they hinted would go down before S2 was out.
I think Mark S and Helena just stays in MDR for awhile and don’t come out. How long? Idk. He’ll find out that it’s actually Helena at some point and then feel betrayed. But like if him and Helena hole up down there then how does that go?
Also, if you’re rooting for oMark over iMark, you’re an bougie authoritarian, right? We the people are iMark.
I don’t think it’s that simple: they’re both right in their respective stances and both wrong in what they’d have to do to achieve it. Outtie Mark just wants to be with his wife who was (to say the least) unfairly taken from him. However, he’s not overly concerned with the possibility of ending a whole other life that’s been started by his innie. I do think he sincerely cares but I think it’s pretty low on his priorities and if you were in his shoes - would you be any different? Innie Mark is in love with Helly and doesn’t want to say bye to her and most likely himself and why should he? To save the life of someone he doesn’t even truly know? He’s already gone above and beyond to save Gemma for his Outtie so him choosing himself/Helly at the end makes total sense but… he’s now robbing his outtie of being with his wife and Gemma of being with her husband after they both were traumatized as hell for years. It’s all fucked dawg lol
Totally random, but if Cold Harbour room AND the thank you card room relate to Gemma’s outtie (in the flashback she mentioned hating thank you cards), does that mean all the rooms relate to the person? So her outtie is scared of the dentist and planes…? This makes testing the severance for sale more accurate.
It’s much more interesting to me for Helly to do something that seems selfish than to run back the Helena twist again.
yeah I was already changing my mind about it being Helena overnight lol why wouldn't Helly R be just a little bit selfish?
i think i like this explanation better too, especially as it pertains to the innies coming into their own this season and chasing after the things they want
The first second of that happening scared the shit out of me for some reason. Then once I realized what was happening it was hilarious.
