Sev Lotus is doing things to me that I haven’t felt since Leftovers Peaks in 2017. Great weeks of new TV.
If people are looking for severed like things, i'd recommend diving into the analog horror Petscop. While dotted lines in terms of themes, the idea of discovering human related things through technologies made me think of the two.
Also the recent indie video game Superliminal has some retro empty office vibes on same levels that feel Severance-y.
Rewatching last week’s episode and I totally missed that when Gemma puts her hand on the pad to open the door, small syringes take blood from her fingers. Ick.
Short but good ep. Loved the setting. They chose that location because Gagné had shot the movie Boundaries there, and she suggested it. She continues to be a huge creative influence on the show.
The implications of what Cobel went home to grab could be cool. The setting was the highlight of the episode. Absolutely breathtaking scenery.
Ok so who tf was that woman? up until the very end I though it was her mom and the grandmother was the one that was sick and died. *edit ok aunt. Said in the post credits. Either I’m stupid or they should have made that more clear.
