at least, she only went into 6 that one day but there were countless rooms, I need to know what’s in the dang cold harbor room

 

great cinematography, virtually no plot movement

 

I thought she was good in The 100 and it was just not great in the end. But it was like the main show I watched that helped me realize I was queer and now just straight up gay. So she has a part in my soul lol

What an episode

 

A massive amount happened, just not in a linear way. We learn a ton about Gemma and spend time with her which we hadn’t before. We see their relationship play out. We see the testing floor and Gemma try to escape. It’s confirmed that there are multiple levels of severance. It’s nearly confirmed that Cold Harbor is essentially some sort of real world integration. We see the extent of surveillance being done on the innies. Reghabi abandons the reintegration process.How much more plot do you need?

 

Feel like this answered so much but raised so many new questions:

Biggest thing on my mind are the circumstances that brought Gemma to Lumon and if she actually died/near deathed. Gonna ramble: on one hand Mark said he identified her body (I’m not making that up right?). On the other, the cards in the mail imply Lumon fuckery prior to her “death” and there is plenty of room based on what we saw in this episode for the cops to be in on it/pawns. On another angle, based on how long we know she has been there she seemed almost too calm to me to be a true prisoner. I just wonder about whether that’s actually her real body or if peoples’ implanting consciousness theories are right.

 

I only have more questions after that episode. I’m sure it’ll be crystal clear as we get more info in the season. Love to see this show take big swings with narrative and style.

My guess is that Cold Harbor is her real life situation with Mark (love/marriage, miscarriage, IVF and/or motherhood) to see if it registers to her innie. Similar to what they did with Mark during his sessions with Ms Casey (Gemma’s candle, the tree)

 

yeah he did identify the body and I think the cards were some sort of test to find the right person to test the multiple innies and/or cold harbor on and she was possibly kidnapped. I don’t think she would have willingly left mark.

 

I think this makes sense. I wonder now if refinement is somehow related to the outies memories or emotions? The Dr on the testing floor played the “I said I love you” moment Gemma last had with Mark.
