Wow that ending, but also the whole ep was great. Loved the dance party. And when Irving said "Let's burn this place to the ground" !!!!!
Irv's delivery on "You smug muuuuthafucka" was hilarious and vintage Turturro, felt like he channeled The Jesus for a second there haha
This show just keeps getting better and better. Irv and Dylan really killed it this week. The end reveal has me intrigued of course. Curious how that’ll play in and if outtie Mark will find out Gemma is a Lumon employee he sees every day.
I greatly enjoy that Dylan and Irv have their own very justified reasons for wanting to burn the motherfucker to the ground and it’s not just a follow the leader kinda story. This show has been one of my absolute favorites.
This episode was incredible beginning to end. I like can’t put into words how good the dance scene was, I felt like I was watching the show level up in real time. Leftovers homeward bound level shit.
Oh fuuuuuuck yoooooooouuuuu to the end of this one. Also yeah, Helly’s “Outtie” is totally a board member. Those theories floating around for a bit seem to be correct about that.
yeah the second I saw the banner being put up when Mark was leaving the office I was disappointed because reading those theories ruined what would have been a cool twist to see blind
Shout out to driving your own car and leaving the function if you’re uncomfortable or afraid Page 197 slaps
Loving this shit. im not sure how i feel about the romance thing between helly & mark, doesn’t really feel earned at this point and kind of contrived. Other than that, no notes.
For sure we could see it coming, i just think it’s been kinda an afterthought to the writers, and so far it isn’t pushing any of the story forward.
I definitely had a similar feeling initially that it felt pretty unearned. But I think what Ms. Casey said about having only been “alive” for 108 hours (which wtf? That’s like three weeks of work lol) kinda stuck with me These are people that have for all intents and purposes lives extremely short and sheltered lives, being forced to come to terms with some bullshit their outies subjected them to without their consent. It tracks for me that both Helly and Mark would act on any sort of connection they felt knowing that their lives have essentially been short and meaningless and that they’re likely walking into either non-existence or a lifetime of literally agony at the hand of Lumon. They’re in such need of genuine human experience that they’re literally willing to die over it
I’m less bothered by it - I think three episodes ago it would have been absurd, but they’ve started actually building to it since the goats episode. And I’m assuming it will pay off with plot stakes soon enough assuming Mark finds out about who Ms. Casey is.
