Maybe Lumon has known what she was doing or maybe not, but they seemed a bit surprised from what I remember when she was able to recover Petey’s chip, which she was only able to get by interacting with Mark outside.

I’m feeling like everyone is on their own path to reintegration and I like how unique their individual journeys to that point are becoming while highlighting that the process of severing oneself as a means to a happier life is actually a hindrance. Mark wants to know what happened to his wife and can never seem to pull himself out of his depressed state while his innie has experienced - up until recently - an upward trajectory in his workspace, Dylan’s outtie is feeling like a failure and now that his wife is striking up a relationship with his seemingly more successful innie he’s feeling even more lost, Helena is the next in line to take over Lumon but deeply unhappy and realizing her innie has had the opportunity to experience emotions and relationships she never has, and Irving’s outtie has been either hiding something - that seems to suggest he has a history with Lumon we’re currently unaware of - or his memory of that past has been wiped and he’s so desperately trying to find his way back to it that he’s been subconsciously communicating with his innie through his dreams - another innie who experienced love in the workplace juxtaposed with his outtie’s isolation.

Now that Mark has begun the process of reintegration, Irving’s innie has been fired, Burt’s outtie has made contact with Irving’s outtie, Dylan’s innie and outtie are both discovering parts of themselves on either side that they long to have, and Helena is growing increasingly jealous of Helly (to the point that she was clearly attempting to manipulate the board into allowing her to return to the severed floor by using the language they’ve come to expect in regard to the severed employees - referring to them as inhuman when in all actuality she’s slowly developing an understanding of their humanity having spent time with them), the pieces are moving into place now. Once Mark fully begins reintegrating he’s inevitably going to go looking for his teammates on the outside, which includes the secretive Irving (who I’m currently guessing is on the phone with Natalie if not another mole at Lumon), and then the dominoes will start to fall.

I’m interested to see what role Harmony plays in this, what will be Milchick’s tipping point (because he’s definitely getting there), and what happened to Gemma and whether or not she’s even a fully conscious being at this point. Is she there of her own volition? Did she want to leave Mark? Did Lumon take her and manipulate her? Is she actually dead and this is some sort of clone? If any of the above, why her? What is it that’s so important about Mark and Gemma and completing “Cold Harbour”?

I love this show so much.

That’s fair for sure, maybe we should establish a ground rule for this. I just think we don’t need to tag every single thing. Looking at page full of blacked out text isn’t fun.

Being lax with spoiler tags because you personally already saw the episode and it’s no longer any benefit or advantage to yourself is the fifth temper.

I stand by my point, the episode came out Thursday night at 9 pm EST and it is now Sunday. Don’t click the thread if you haven’t watched! It’s not that hard.

why would you go into a thread of a television show after a new episode aired and you haven’t watched it yet? this isn’t a binging show it’s week to week. Simply go into the thread once you’ve watched the episode.

I'm inclined to agree with Morgan here. Season 3 of Yellowjackets premiered on Friday but I'm waiting until Thursday to watch the episodes with a friend. I don't want them to be spoiled for me, so I'm staying out of the Yellowjackets thread in the meantime because why should I put that responsibility on people who are caught up?

It’s good practice to use spoilers. People who might be trying to get to page 1 or to the page that matches the episode that they are caught up on can easily be routed to the newest page. There can be extra-contextual spoilers, like leaked plot details or interview details, that even people who are caught up would appreciate not reading. People may be expecting spoilers to be used when they first open the thread, since that is a common practice on other forums. “Just don’t interact with this thread until you’re fully caught up” feels like ironclad easy advice when you yourself are caught up.

All that said, if a mod just adds “Spoilers” or something to the title, that is a good heads up to anyone browsing that this is a thread where there will be no spoiler tags.

Idk, I think it’s implied that a dedicated thread for a show/movie includes spoilers. Nobody here is privileged enough to get screeners AFAIK so nobody has extra information, and if it’s from a leak then that should be prefaced and tagged.

It’s not the same thing like the streamer thread where some of these shows get discussed when people are asking about them if they haven’t watched much yet.

its not that hard to add spoilers or read the thread with them imo.

I don’t think giant walls of black boxes are conducive to actual conversations about quality or theories, sorry.

Isn’t that the point of the forum anyway?

Why are people going into a thread of a show they aren’t caught up on though?

If we can’t agree on solid yes or no, can we at least pick a time frame after an episode airs where tags are no longer needed?

Imo Thursday night is maybe the only time tags should be needed. Friday is fair game if you didn’t watch Thursday night.

  21. The only TV show threads that need spoiler tags are ones that drop full seasons at a time. Weekly is a different story. I’m not going to spoiler tag and label each post what episode the spoiler is for. Enjoy the show and discuss when you’re caught up. Every post in here would be a spoiler to somebody depending on where they’re at in the show - it’s just not practical

  22. If you’re multiple episodes behind and want to read along in the thread as you watch, simply check the air dates for each episode and only read up to the date of the next episode you haven’t seen. I’ve done that with countless shows on this site

i'm in agreement about hopping out of/temporarily muting a thread to avoid spoilers. i get not wanting to see information on something you haven't watched yet, but you can't trust that everyone is gonna tag everything as such. like if i'm out of town for a few weeks and can't watch a show, i'll leave the thread so others can discuss it, but if i'm only behind by one day or so, i'll just not open that thread for the time being. there's obviously something to be said about wanting to discuss older stuff you've seen, but you could just as easily hold those thoughts until you're caught up or wait to see if they get touched upon in a future episode.

That’s my biggest thing, this is a show where your watching experience benefits from discussion. Spoiler tagging everything does not encourage that. If you aren’t able to keep up for various reasons, just wait until you can. I can almost guarantee we will not have all of the answers by the end of the season.

  25. Agree with this though and will start doing that

I don’t believe this has been brought up, but I definitely had this same thought. I just honestly can’t tell if the show would go that dark. What happened is already fucked up enough - throwing a pregnancy into the mix is a totally different level
