Best ep of the season so far, really excited to see where everything goes

 

If this was on showtime we wouldn’t have gotten this episode until the finale of season 3

 

The Dylan/wife stuff is the exact kinda shit I’m watching this show for

 

I can get the they were gonna kill Cobel theories. I think it is more likely they were gonna make her a perma-innie like Miss Casey.

 

isn’t that basically the same thing as killing her?

 

Have to watch episode 3 but the podcast is very good if anyone hasn’t listened.

 

Definitely setting it up that Dylan’s wife loves his innie more than his outie, right?

 

Probably that and how much smoother and confident his innie is vs his outtie

 

I’m all in on the cloning/raise from the dead theories. I also think the “board” is all the Egans consciousness and that’s part of what MDR is sorting, putting the right data to the right Egan for them to come back once they bodies.

 

i've had similar thoughts that the Board isn't quite human. i joked with my partner that it'd be funny if it was something akin to the Quintessons from G1 Transformers, lol (but that's definitely not gonna be the case)

 

Catching up on this amazing thread. I don't think the board is real and that Natalie is behind everything and there's no way Helly is severed on the severed floor. I kind of suspected the plot with Dylan's wife was supposed to get Dylan to comply more with Lumon for the sake of his outie's family, but there's totally something there with Dylan's wife loving Dylan's innie more.

Also echoing the "he dumb" line love. I was watching with my friends and we all burst out laughing.

 

I did not get the vibe she “loved” his innie more at all- lol what?? If anything, she seemed disconcerted in that scene about him and his well-being.

 

Why would she have tried to hang herself if she was never severed? Unless you mean she’s not severed after the events of season 1

 

I want the purpose of the goats to never be explained

I don't think she does yet but if those scenes keep happening then I'm certain that they will explore the difference in romantic partners through them. I think the outcome of that would then be that she would feel more towards the 'innie' due to having qualities that the 'outie' Dylan does not.

 

Makes sense! I keep going back and forth on if she is or isn’t this season haha

The scene of Dylan's wife having to almost parent him before she left for work really sealed in the fact that I think we are getting the she loves the innie version more than the outie version. There was also this quick raising of the voice the outie version did when they first talked on the phone that goes with that.

 

The only other reason I can think of that they circle back to them for that scene is either to the lay the groundwork for my above thought or because they wanted to show that she is a cop. Which I think Devin said at some point that they can't trust the cops because of Lumon.

 

I so thoroughly loved that there was just a goat man in all of those scenes and it was never questioned lol

 

I want to know what the Mammalians Nurturable outies think about their work as innies. Surely they either exit the building either filthy and smelly or freshly showered and damp? Possibly sore? I would have so many questions lol

 

part of me wondered if there's like a separate shower or something for them to use. surely there's some Kier Eagan quote about cleanliness being important

 

This is top 3 best dramas on TV right now, if not the best. It's Severance, White Lotus, and Shogun. Those three are in a league of their own.

 

Love the other 2 but it’s definitely better than white lotus and I’d probably put it above shogun as well especially if they are making more seasons of shogun.
