Hour and a half both ways. I can either go to Winter Park or Disney Springs but I assume that place will be insane on a holiday week.
Im not doing that most things. That drive is horrendous. And hour and a half in Orlando driving is really like 3 in terms of mental exhaustion
Some things might be worth it, but I don't know how much you gain by seeing this with a crowd on a big screen versus watching it at home (other than getting to see it sooner)
The needle drops in this all ruled. Apparently Dead Man's Wire also uses Cannock Chase so now I'm very curious to see that.
this floored me. i never saw the worst person in the world but this is as close to a perfect movie as i've seen in a very long time.
The little kid getting DVD's of Irreversible and The Piano Teacher as a gift is the funniest scene of the year.
I am conflicted on this one. There is a lot of good but the tonal shifts can be jarring. It goes from being very funny to an extended look at Nazi torture. It is meant to add background to the family but maybe it is better left unsaid.
Thought this was very good but didn’t blow me away. Inga is incredible. All of the house stuff was really great.
Oslo is pretty great. I didn’t realize he also did Worst Person in the World (which I also have nit seen yet). Might do that before this as well
This didn't blow me away with the same immediacy as The Worst Person in the World, but the more I think about it the more each little part makes sense within the overarching narrative. It very naturally weaves together each character's issues with the history and behaviours that led to them, with a lot of mirrored or contrasting experiences being used to allow insight into multiple characters at once. The attempts at reconciliation or alleviation feel very different for each set of characters but they're all pretty powerful in their own ways. It feels like the kind of film that will only grow on me with time.
lost it when they made Rachel try to May December Nora, especially since Cory Michael Smith was also in this do you think Gustaf knew his aunt was gay, or that Nora and Agnes knew, I loved how you can feel that generational trauma where you just don't talk about things where it's impolite
