Idk, my varient of the MTS blink-182 untitled LP (2010) is the highest it's been and went up after all the SRC pressings. So not all hope is lost. Speaking of which, if anyone wants this, I'll sell it for $25 cheaper than the lowest discogs listing... ;)
I would absolutely love to have The Fire on vinyl. A remastered version for a repress would be sweeeeeeeet.
Just put on If There Is Light.. for the first time in a minute and I still find it mostly awful. I know it's a real personal album to Buddy and I legitimately respect that... I just think it's a mostly regressive record. The only three songs I enjoy are still the same from when I first gave this a spin: Elevator To The Gallows, New Jersey Makes.., and "You Get So Alone At Times That It Just Makes Sense".
I am pretty sure it does. I mean I have at least seen it do so before. It's not by a lot but the value does go down a little.
It sucks because I could have gotten it but I just wasn't into vinyl at the time. I pre ordered the CD and got the bonus live DVD and cool ass Fire poster that I have hanging over my bar. If only I had the foresight.....
I'll part ways with my entire SF collection. All in mint condition. Love the band, but never spin them Bayonet (Buddy's side project- Black Etched (/100) The Fire- White (/100) Still Searching- Red/Black Splatter (/200) Life Is Not A Waiting Room- Splatter (/500) Let It Enfold You- White (/500) Renacer- Purple (/500) Pull The Thorns From Your Heart- Half Transparent Purple / Half Baby Pink (/1500)
Woah woah woah.. is he saying that is what the next record is going to sound like? If so - there is some hope after all! hah seriously. I would LOVE a new record in that vein. I like some songs off Thorns but it was so disappointing as a follow up to the incredible record that Renacer still is.
I just really hope Buddy doesn't try to write the guitar parts again. He did so on Thorns and Light.... and it shows.
UGHHHHH. Same. I miss Dan, sure, but Matt and Zack on guitars were my favorites for the entire history of the band. Gavin could move back to bass too and everything would be perfect again.
Yes! My favorite line up. The Follow Your Bliss EP and Renacer era was their best without a doubt. The 3 EP songs that weren't War Paint proved they could write non heavy poppier songs and still kill it. Waves is incredible.
My favorite lineup as well. I don’t see Buddy stepping away from writing the music, but I hope he gets the current guys at least more involved in the process.
