I just listened to this. It's amazing how much he's really changed and he's pretty smart. The fact he wants to beat the shit out of Fronz makes me happy.

 

Just wanted to say that I threw all their albums into a playlist and hit shuffle. So far got: Waves, Irish Eyes, Jets to Peru, Wounds and Still Searching. What an amazing band with such a stacked discography.

Also nice that I didn't get any If There Is Light tracks yet

Listening to The Fire and hardcore regretting not getting into it when it first came out.

Also regret not getting the vinyl. Record is amazing.

 

I had The Fire vinyl pre-ordered when it first came out on vinyl and for some reason I cancelled my pre-order. One of my biggest regrets.

It's truly an amazing record, I connect with it so much.

 

The Fire is so good. Great mix of heavy and poppier stuff. I still love it despite the muddy production.

Lyrically the Fire is some of Buddy's best stuff.

The title track, New Years Eve, Landslide and Lifeboats are four of their best imo.

It honestly goes back and forth between Fire and Renacer being their best IMO. I love both records immensely for very different reasons.

Absolutely. A lot of their songs speak to me such as “Coward” and “Headed West”.

Hands down.

 

Literally the only flaws with the Fire are the production and the timeframe it was released. It was going to be ignored no matter what by the fan base. It has some of the best material Buddy has ever written.

absolutely. I fell in love with it about a year after it was released. He was also doing terrible live so I thought it'd only be a matter of time until they called it quits. The Fire, Safehouse, and Lifeboats are some of their best tracks.

Also, the new album is slowly growing on me but I miss the heaviness

 

This is really good.

 

It's still amazing how much Buddy really improved live.
