I’d like to pop in the general chat thread to shamelessly plug my own thread that some of us have had fun with.

The Chorus Music Club Society

Basically this is a music exchange club, sort of like a book club. Each week you’re partnered with someone different, you trade 1-2 albums to eachother, and when you get a good feel of the album you post your thoughts. Many of us have discovered new favorites in this, and the genres vary from 80s to pop Punk to metalcore to hip hop.

I suggest re-mixing and rereleasing the fire instead. Even if just like an EP worth of tracks from it. But I will pay for whatever at this point.

 

Remix and repress all the albums!!!

 

Lol I think they have done plenty of represses of LIEY/SS. It’s the rest of the albums that people seem to struggle to get ahold of at this point. I have owned every one of their releases at some point and now I’m just thankful I held on to Renacer and LINAWR because those ones are pricey now and I wouldn’t be able to buy them again!

In regards to the repressing of their EP I’ve honestly thought about raising the funds to buy the label name and rights to DTR just to simply press some of my favorite albums. Would then try to get money in the right hands (artists themselves).

 

I picked up my kids from daycare yesterday afternoon and when we got in the car my 3 year old daughter requested the “oh oh oh oh song” (New Jersey Makes, The World Takes)

It was proud moment for me :)

 

Dude my girlfriend 8 year old son always wants to listen to it in the car !

 

“Of course, I will play it. But this song should tell you not to do drugs!”

 

She’s 3 - the only drugs that she knows are antibiotics, ibuprofen, mucinex, and tylenol!

Y'all should check this out, if you haven't already! Also, who's stoked that they announced that they are on Warped yesterday?!

 

Might be the deciding factor in going now. I haven’t been since 2013 and they were one of the many reasons why I wanted to go that year too.

 

I found In Your Absence on vinyl today at my local record store today. Of course I bought it, it was the black/maroon smash limited to 300.

P.S. - I STILL really wish I could enjoy If There Is A Light.. but I just think it’s such a regressive record. Oh well. I’m happy for Buddy.
