The fact that Fire is actually ahead of Priest is both baffling and infuriating

 

If we go with the logic that Priest is a better song, it wouldn't be so much better that it is baffling. The Fire is amazing.

Oh don’t get me wrong I do like Fire a lot. But I like Priest a lot more, and I assumed that was a popular opinion lol I am actually genuinely surprised

 

I honestly would have thought so too.

It's the only one I had real trouble with picking. I've listened to Priest a lot more in my life but the lead during the verses and that incredible bridge of Fire pulled me over.

Also since we'll lose the two best heavy songs this round, we gotta push the Fire through lol

First Breath, Last Breath - I really like Holy Mountain and I would've voted for it in other matchups, but the strong personal lyrics of First Breath, Last Breath give it the edge.

Bite To Break Skin - This was the toughest matchup for me this round. It really could've gone either way, so I'll go with the song that I've known for the longest!

War Paint - This is a pretty easy pick for me. Bloody Romance is fine and if I was voting purely based on nostalgic feelings I'd probably vote for it.

The Fire - This is a surprisingly easy pick for me. I like The Priest And The Matador and if I were to make a list of my favorite Senses Fail songs (I'm not going to do this) I'm sure it would be pretty near the top. Having said all that, The Fire is one of my absolute favorite Senses Fail tracks (and possibly my favorite Senses Fail song overall).

I mean...I don't really see what I wrote that's report worthy...but ok.

I like The Priest And The Matador, but I like another song better (as do about half of the people in this thread by the looks of things)

 

I too am baffled as it throws into the wind months of bracket precedent but I’m also baffled Priest won that album so who knows.
