Stay What You Are- As I said in the last bracket, this song is honestly my jam for this yr so far & I really hope they add it to the setlist at some point this yr.

Double Cross- This was a difficult choice for me, I really love both songs for different reasons, but I figured i could at least give a nod to DC even though FBLB will be the clear winner, FBLB also just hits a little too close to home for me so its a song that i actively have to skip.

If There Is Light, It Will Find You- Such an amazing closer, like goddamn, Im actually listening to it RN & just ugh, SOOO GOOD!

Is It Gonna Be The Year?- I love the overall vulnerability of this song & its catchy as hell

Stay What You Are - Pretty easy decision for me. This song has grown on me a lot and Gold Jacket, Green Jacket... is toward the bottom of the album for me.

First Breath, Last Breath - Another relatively easy pick. I like Double Cross but First Breath, Last Breath is one of my favorites on the album and I really like Buddy’s personal lyrics on this one.

New Jersey Makes, The World Takes - Ugh, this one is so tough for me. I really do love both of these songs. I’ll go with New Jersey Makes, The World Takes because it’s the one that I find myself returning to a bit more often. Having said that, I absolutely would not be upset to see the title track win.

Elevator To The Gallows - One of my favorites on the album. A fairly easy decision!

I’d lost a lot of faith after my top choice went down but this is actually really good. Well done, people.

First breath. My gut reaction was Stay but the screamed background vocals in this song’s chorus are wonderful.
Elevator. The closer is great but I think the back half is messy and needlessly long. Gallows is flawless.

First Breath, Last Breath (This was a tough one but I went with my favorite song on album. I love the Alkaline Trio vibes coming off of Stay What You Are though!)

If There is a Light, It Will Find You (I find it funny that the most most uplifting and positive song is pitted against the one that speaks of giving up and essentially commiting suicide. I’ll go with the positive one and a song that I had never imagined he would ever write.)
