Courage Of The Knife

The Path ( Toughy. The Path's lighter part of the bridge before getting hardcore again rules though, so gotta go with that!)

Mi Amor (The heaviness of this song is great, even in a language I don't understand)

Canine (A great intro but Canine has this one easily)

 

All these matchups are tough

The Glass - not necessarily heavy but no way you find a song like this on earlier records. So good

Holy Mountain - both songs are great, but I’ll go with HM because I was kinda responsible for eliminating Between The Mountain And The Sea

Closure/Rebirth - Mi Amor is such a good song. Always heavy in the Spanish and the chorus matches the lead perfectly. However I think C/R to be the perfect song to represent the era of heavy, lyrically inspired Senses Fail

Renacer - I bought a shirt at that show I shared above that had the “cave you’re afraid to enter holds the treasures you seek” line on the back. My favorite piece of Senses Fail merch I haven’t seen it in a long time. I must find.

This match up is hard.

Glass: Courage is a banger but Glass is amazing. Reminds me of Deftones which is great and where I wish the band continued to go..


The Path: if you asked me when the record first came out in 2013, I would have said Holy Mountain all day, but over time I have realized The Path is one of the top highlights on this record.

Closure/ Rebirth: love me some Mi Amor but Closure is too good. It needs to win.

Renacer: best SF opener if you ask me. Amazing lyrics. It’s an easy choice here.

Dude tell me about it. I went to the still searching tour pretty much just to see blackout. Hearing some of their other SS were cool but I am so sick of hearing songs from that album after seeing them almost 20 times

They just have soooo many songs from LIEY and SS that are staples, that even with a headlining set, they isn't much time left.

 

Yeah I mean they had 10 year tours for both of those albums. I’ve always said that they should do a rarities tour in like 4 cities where they play all the stuff they never play. At this point, the play relatively the same set and add a couple old songs here and there. Especially since they are moving away from the heavier sound

Afraid so haha The Path and Courage are easily two of my least favorite SF songs, canines chorus is good but I find the rest boring. I just really hate that sludgy, sweaty non-melodic style.
