Of course. But there’s even some omissions from the first few albums I’d rather hear added to the set than a random nu metal medley lol.
I’ve seen a video of the medley and it’s atrocious. Imagine getting that over Yellow Angels or Hair of the Dog or something like that
but then when bands pledge to play from every record, we get the token single from each record and it hardly helps at all. Is there really not room for 2-3 deep cuts (or rotating deep cuts) in a 12-17 song set list? Surely that’s not gonna tank ticket sales? Alternatively, can these bands really not play for 90 mins rather than 60? I saw city and colour play for 130 minutes the other day. Much less energetic, sure, but is there really not some sort of midpoint? I’ll continue to see my favorites when they come near me but I get a little more annoyed each time.
I’m not in the business of telling bands to play for longer when tours are grueling enough, but I promise you that this band can afford to cut NJ Falls Into the Atlantic for Closure/Rebirth or something like that. The crowd is not going to completely dip
I love Senses Fail but I’ve given up on seeing them live. They play the same set every time and Buddys vocals are horrible live. I’m one of the few who love all of their albums, even the new one, but it blows my mind that he’s been singing professionally for 20 years and sounds that bad. He really came into his own around Renacer but the vocals have regressed since then
Yeah I realized it’s only 19 years of that album. Only anniversary in 2023 would be 10 years of Renacer
LINAWR.... he teased it a few weeks ago... And it'll be 15 this year... now THAT is something I'd be interested in
Oh man I might have to actually attend if it’s LINAWR. The things I would do to hear Wolves at the Door. This band is weird tho. Every single time I’ve seen them at like various warped tours and such they always sounded horrible, but I went to the Still Searching Anniversary tour and was blown away. It is the only time I have ever thought they sounded amazing.
I think SF has gotten way better live over the years. A lot of it has to do with Buddy being sober. Every time I saw them on Warped he was hammered and sounded atrocious, but he sounded great the last two times I saw them in 2015/2017.
Saw them in 2015 during the Renancer era and thought they were god awful. That said, I don't enjoy much from them post LINAWR, so that show was super, super heavy. Saw them again open for Bayside in 2021 and actually thought they sounded fantastic. They really leaned into the first few albums, which for me was good enough. I actually would pay to see this set they're doing now.
This thread had me curious what Garrett Z's been up to recently since he seemed to disappear after leaving the band. Looks like he's a VP in the financial sector now, absolutely wild
He did put out some solo material of his own , under the name “Stereo Stargazer”, back in 2019 but that went nowhere aside from an EP. Stereo Stargazer (ex-Senses Fail) drops first solo EP since leaving band
I guess I’d be back in the fold if it’s a LINAWR tour, but that might be it at this point. The likelihood of Renacer/Thorns shows is just so low. Don’t need to hear a medley ever again, nor do I need to hear 187 (which was supposed to be retired lol). But it’s what the fans “want”
did you not go to their last tour last fall? buddy went on IG live every friday for a couple months before the tour started and we voted on deepcuts for them to play. they played wolves! it was siiick Senses Fail Setlist at Bottom Lounge, Chicago
