lol im a little surprised at the disdain towards this song in particular because its waaaaay better than the other two
oh I’ve already accepted that I’ll most likely never like anything Buddy puts out under SF moving forward lol I just was agreeing about the lyrical content because that’s something that spoke to me BIG TIME in the Renacer era.
I liked it. Hard to hear the opening lyrics considering some family history, but the song was very enjoyable.
Man I can't get into any of these new songs. I was afraid of that after the first few singles released and I actually elected not to buy the vinyl based off that.
For anyone interested, I spoke with Buddy about the new album and a bunch of other stuff - episode/interview came out today. EP #14 - Buddy Nielsen (Senses Fail)
not sure if this is newsworthy, but while shopping for vinyl on amazon, i stumbled on some repress preorders: still searching: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BBYHFXBX/?tag=absolutepunk-20 follow your bliss (greatest hits) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BBZ86TJG/?tag=absolutepunk-20 the fire: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BBZB33M6/?tag=absolutepunk-20
Just got my copy of The Fire on vinyl. I think it sounds really good and I forgot how much I love this album
Wasn’t there a remaster for the vinyl? I feel like I remember buddy tweeting about it getting remastered a few years ago
There was a conversation here a while ago that it might not actually be remastered. Despite being my second fav SF record it is really hard to listen to. The vinyl will almost certainly just be a display piece if it’s the same mastering.
I have the vinyl and it sounds the same to me. Happy to have it, sure, but goddamn I wish it was remastered. It has a new cover already so it low key teased it.
