Yeah, they're gonna drop the new album and tour on that before going quiet in 2024 to write another one, then they'll announce a 20-year anniversary tour for SS so they can cash in on that for the third or fourth time in the span of a decade right before dropping album #9 lol
Money. So basically, the promoters of the tour can now say “well this isn’t the lineup we paid for so you’re only getting 60% of the the offer”, and WCAR nor anyone can realy protest because technically it’s true
Well, you made an obvious statement (which I assume was a piss poor attempt at a joke). Obvious statements get obvious responses.
It was funny. Learn to laugh about the bands you like – and don't get pissy because you misunderstood the joke.
I wonder if he even understands that the anger has nothing to do with the reasons why he did it. They're good reasons in a vacuum and I don't think anyone could argue with that. This is no vacuum though.
I've seen Silverstein at least once every year since 2013 and I've never seen Senses Fail and Emery. In fact, I'm not sure I've ever seen the same opener twice at a Silverstein show. Yeah, bad joke was bad.
That Rise Against tour is the biggest tour for SF in years. I honestly don’t blame them for taking the tour along with the added personal benefits for Buddy and the timing of the album release. SF has limited years left of touring and being relevant so this is a great tour for them. I also support Buddy wanting to be there to support his wife and newborn. It may suck for the other bands, but I think a lot of people are pointing the finger when they’d do the same shit if it came to their business/personal life. I’m hoping Counterparts and SYSC can find a way to tour soon. I can see why they are upset, but this sort of venomous response from people is a bit much.
I can’t emphasize enough the importance of having two parents around especially in the first months of birth. And when you have a small child to continue caring for on top of that, it’s really a no brainer imo.
