  1. the childbirth situation I can understand but that's pretty fucked of them to pull the rug out from fans and their own support like that

Yeah it’s a shitty move for sure but also… I get it. I mean if they can open for Rise Against and The Used? That’s pretty big. I don’t blame Buddy but he should immediately address it and apologize publicly. Especially after all the shit he gave Bad Omens - just sayin’

    Things have changed.

Is "opening for the Used" a big opportunity in 2022? lol

I’m assuming Rise Against would be headlining

They have a huge loyal base and still do pretty well for themselves so yeah. Obviously, the big attraction is Rise Against, but still. I’m not a fan of either band these days but they’re both very big in their respective ways.

Bands are a business and it sounds like Buddy made a business decision. It sucks for the other bands relying on the tour, absolutely, but I'm not going to look down on Buddy/Senses Fail for whatever this ends up being.

Anyway you look at it, it’s pretty hypocritical of Buddy & Co.

If you were in Buddy's shoes wouldn't you make the same business decision? Especially with a second child on the way I know I would.

Yeah, having a second child on the way very soon is completely understandable. Weird that people from the other bands are framing it only through the lens of just getting a bigger tour opportunity

I wouldn’t say “anyway,” clearly theres a human element here that points to why he made this decision. It sucks for the smaller bands but at the end of the day this is a business and these are human beings who have to do what’s best for their families. I know I for one can’t say what I would do in that same situation…

Also worth mentioning that it is Buddy, after all. If it were a guitarist/bassist or the drummer needing to drop off to be with their family, I’m sure they would have a tech fill in for the tour. You cannot do that with Buddy. Sure, there are better vocalists in the scene, but the backlash from fans on that tour would be unreal if they replaced him with, like, Cove Reber lol

  19. I can "see both sides" inasmuch as SF didn't do something malicious, but Buddy is a ~40y/o man who's been doing this for more than half his life.

You can't just say "business decision" as if there's no room for scale or context when he just pulled a fast one on three whole touring parties full of people who also have families. Something tells me "it's not personal" isn't going to do much to settle those folks down.

It’s a pain in the ass to tour, and it’s a pain in the ass to tour amidst a pandemic. Now do all of that as an international band where visas are involved. That is what’s at stake for Counterparts, a band SF has had as support before. You can see why they are slighted.

Big yikes for sure but I got the same energy from him when I questioned the logistics of WYWY fest. He was incredibly defensive on twitter when people were asking about it.

I get it though. His lyric spell out his financial situation and the worry of being able to support his kids. I cant say I wouldn't do the same but it is a big slap to the fans.

    Are You Watching Closely?

Understandable, but I just wonder why not do both tours? Too much time away from home at once? Stuff in the Used/RA contract that would prevent it?

I have a ticket for the headline tour in Austin with my 2 brothers, so Ill be a little bummed personally if this is true. I also have a 4 and 6 year old, so my heart goes out to the man trying to do whats best for his family!

Isn't SF support for WCR or is it co headline?

It "was" a co headline and the tour is cancelled.
