I know it's been echoed in here already but I really can't fathom being outraged by this kind of thing. No one is holding the pitchfork to their throats and demanding they change it. The artist themselves want to update it to their liking. That's literally it. I'm not even the kind of person who takes issue with lyrics written many moons ago (although I appreciate discourse around them), and would not be remotely bothered if no one wanted to change their old lyrics. But if they do, then...great? Why do you care so much?? theres plenty of misogynistic lyrical content left to go around, don't u worry.
