Speak the Truth doing the poppier LIEY and SS sound while Senses Fail keeping with the amazing hardcord sound seemed like the way to go, but of course they want to ruin it lol.
Man, rock isn't really paying the bills for any band lol. If they aren't going to adapt to sound more like A Day to Remember or Bring Me the Horizon, then I dunno what the point of changing for money is lol.
True but after SS, SF was getting more and more irrelevant with every release. Than they released Renacer and that seemed to spark a rebirth (no pun intended) of the band. I think Buddy's gotten a glimpse of how many people still relate to those albums and how many people still care about the band. When I saw them open for Bayside on their anniversary tour, people were going off for Senses fail like I haven't seen in a while. Basically. I think SF have recaptured people's attention and he (Buddy)wants to keep it.
Well, when a hardcore band puts out a Renacer type album and gets mainstream success, then you'll get a Renacer Pt 2 from SF haha
I dunno, they have always striked me as a band who has a strong enough core fanbase that will always support them. I for one always have, unless this new album ends up being bad. I think that is how you lose fans. Since we live in an age where only the hardcore fans actually buy music, why would you want to turn them away?
I'd say at this point, they're more concerned with people coming to shows than buying albums. I think also it helps with who they're able to play with. I saw SF headline over Expire and it was just weird. I think they fit in much better playing with bands like Bayside or other warped veterans and it would help to have newer material with a familiar sound compared to playing the same greatest hits setlist
Lmao. Senses Fail has been my favorite band since I was 13 (I'm 26 now) and trends in general really interest me.
if im driving to the boston show at paradise, anyone know what the parking situation is like? garage nearby?
Parking is a hit or miss, no public garages close by. But theres metered parking on Comm Ave. where Paradise is. You can luck out getting side street parking nearby too. Or drive to a T station that has parking & take the B green line in & get off at the Pleasant St stop its right across from the venue.
Went to this in Baltimore & had a fantastic time! All the bands were really great & had a great energy for sure! Asked Buddy during the M&G when there would be any possible dates coming through for Speak the Truth & he said probably would do a Boston, NYC & Philly set of dates at the very least which is exciting.
If you go early to get parking and don't want to stand in line, theres plenty of food places around & a bar next to the venue you can go and hang at for bit
I always park at Lot C-2 on Harry Agganis Way (it shows up on google maps don't worry.) It's affordable (less than $10), large (large lot outside plus a "garage" that's attached to the lot) and a lot of times (especially if you leave late) it isn't attended so you can sneak out without paying. Just make sure there's not an event at the Agganis Arena in advance. I've never had an issue parking there.
I'm debating it. I'm watching the Stubhub prices fluctuate and if it goes down enough, I'll be in attendance.
If it doesn't go down enough, you could always come check out Envy on The Coast and Firestarter in Brooklyn
