Damn, I haven't even watched the new season yet :/

I haven't jumped into the new season yet either, but that's certainly a bummer

 

Cancelled on the first day of Pride month. That's homophobic.

 

I haven't started season 2 either.

Really, Netflix? The show has two trans showrunners and a trans actress and deals heavily in LGBTQ themes and you cancel it on the first day of Pride month?

Is the risk here angering all your fans???

I think it's more to do with the end of a fiscal quarter than the day it fell on. Eight other shows got cancelled, too.


All that to say, the way season two ends now will leave a lot of people angry that it wasn't renewed. But they should also be angry that they allowed that final draft to be the final draft. Otherwise, season 2 was pretty great.

 

I havent watched the new season yet, but this is a bummer.

Shouldn't be too much of a surprise, though. This has to be the most expensive show Netflix produces, and yet I hear almost no one talking about it. I don't know a single person who started the new season yet.

 

I remember a scene in S1 where they're shooting an action scene for a movie, and I was watching it in awe thinking, "Wow, this looks pretty great for a tv show."

 

The Queen is their most expensive show, but that was a success. The Get Down and this were #2 and 3, and both never seemed to make a splash and were cancelled (it was reported that S2 of this cost $9m an episode, for comparison Game of Thrones is at about $10m/episode now).

 

This seems likely. Season 2 was fantastic though and I'm really bummed we won't get more.

Watched 1 episode and realized it wasn't for me. The actor who plays whispers teaches at my university, though.

 

They're going to conclude it with a 2 hour special!!

Finally got around to finishing this. So good. A two-hour special could be enough to "end" it, but it feels like it wants to expand into so much more.

edit: apparently Lana's writing a Season 3 whether Netflix wants it or not. Lana Wachowski is already writing the third season of “Sense8″ Considering xhamster's proposal a couple days after that article, things are... interesting, to say the least.

 

We got a release date. Tbh, I still haven't watched S2. A lot of the shows I'm watching right now finish up in May, so I'll get to it this summer hopefully.

 

I still gotta watch S2 also, I just fell behind due to not really ever watching Netflix, I forget the shows on there
