This was just a good and fun time. Nothing more nothing less.

 

Sam, Dylan, and Rachel were definitely having a blast, which made up for the paper thin character development, it was just like what if we got an Alex Moffat and Kate McKinnon character together

Kind of wild how well reviewed this is haha. Thought it was dumb fun but not quite up to expectations. The leads are fantastic. Really bad CGI. Thought it would be darker. But it did its job.

 

almost thought the cgi was that bad on purpose ?

 

This was so much god damn fun

 

Definitely enjoyed this, could’ve been a little shorter but it’s like pure Raimi fun and that’s what counts anyway

 

Made $20 million over the weekend. Pretty solid for an original movie. The children yearn for the Raimi.

 

Obviously small sample but highest domestic gross of the year so far

 

Good and fun. Raimi still has the juice.

 

Tickets secured for Thursday. Very, very excited.

 

Had a blast, wish it went full Raimi more often but every time it did it was like a little shot of heroin. And huge congrats to Dennis Haysbert getting the ‘and’ credit for a role that truly could’ve been anybody

had fun with this one, was a little long and the last shot was awful but other than that good stuff. was really funny hearing the crowd reactions from people who didn't know Raimi when the eye scene hit

Always love Rachel McAdams - while I wouldn’t have predicted something like this from her, of course she knocked it out of the park

 

This movie really made me realize how much modern cinematography is just so static by comparison

 

I was surprised how full my theater was on Friday. The most full I’ve seen it in a long time for a movie that wasn’t a franchise / super hyped up. But it did seem like they were advertising it pretty heavily on tv.

 

Should have a decent second weekend cause there isn’t shit coming out this weekend.

 

Bummed to say that this <i>really</i> didn't work for me.

This is all before “Nirvanna The Band The Show The Movie” makes $200 million opening weekend. Gotta give moviegoers a breather.
