Blinded (easy) and shockingly I find myself leaning Wounded here

I think MDB resonates more with others as it's typically considered the quintessential 3eb track, but Wounded is just so much more interesting and I think due to the strange risks it takes, makes for an infinitely more compelling listen. As someone said on page 36, this was the true final and I really had to listen to each a couple times to ponder.

I love Wounded, but MDB is pretty much the quintessential 3EB song. How LAWY made it this far, I don't really understand (not that it's a bad song) but neither it nor Blinded (wat!?) stand a chance against MDB or Wounded in the final round.

 

Blinded is their best song not called god of wine

I know I posted this before but MDB isn't even top 3 on the self-titled. I'm baffled it's going to win this whole thing.

Always makes me smile whenever people start throwing down assurances about what’s going to win.

I meant to bring this up waaaay back in the OOTV round, but I’d like to proffer my defense for the ‘go down on you for an hour’ line in “Blinded,” as well as some of 3EB’s more blatantly sexual lines. No, it’s not romantic or smooth or elegant. That’s exactly the point. Lines like that are, I feel, a pretty accurate reflection of being Stupid Horny - when your desire for someone feels so overpowering and that you’ll think or say the nuttiest shit to express it. And if 3EB know how to write about anything, it’s that thin line that connects and divides physical and emotional intimacy. Yes, it is cringey, and it’s also incredibly vulnerable and achingly real.

Love that line. He counteracts beautiful or deep lines with purely jokey, animalistic or visceral feelings often and it's brilliant.
