Make a baby, the problem starts to grow... Eh summatown had more potential than it fulfilled but it was definitely better than Dao.
Water Landing Summer Town About To Break That 2nd matchup made me put this off for half a day. Making me choose between my two favorites on this album right off the bat!
And round one of Ursa Major is a wrap! Winners in bold... Why Can’t You Be? - 5 Water Landing - 10 Summer Town - 7 Dao of St. Paul - 8 About to Break - 8 Monotov’s Private Opera - 7 So I know I’m just the moderator, but “Monotov’s Private Opera” just lost by one vote which means y’all are doing it wrong! ...okay, I’ll try and keep my mouth shut from now on. Promise. Round Two comin’ up!
Ursa Major ROUND TWO 1.) Water Landing vs. Can You Take Me? 2.) Sharp Knife vs. One in Ten 3.) Dao of St. Paul vs. Don’t Believe a Word 4.) About to Break vs. Bonfire
Easiest round for me so far. It's like 4 bangers vs. 4 middle tier songs. Water Landing Sharp Knife Dao of St. Paul Bonfire
Water Landing Sharp Knife Dao of St. Paul Bonfire I really like the youthful energy of can you take me though
Current Totals ———————— Water Landing - 9 Can You Take Me? - 3 Sharp Knife - 11 One in Ten - 1 Dao of St. Paul - 8 Don’t Believe a Word - 4 About to Break - 2 Bonfire - 10
Can You Take Me? (Maybe my favorite of their openers) Sharp Knife (Easily my favorite on the album) Dao of St. Paul (DBAW is fun, but DOSP is just on another level. Rejoice evermore! That guitar solo into the acoustic break/outro is (mostly) perfect except that weird part where it goes silent and then the echo-y "evermore" vocals come back in for a few seconds) About To Break (I could go either way , but giving it to ATB since Bonfire is winning by so much)
It's superfluous and awkward. It'd be fine if the "Rejoice evermore" part resolved to the echo-y "evermore" part, but when it goes silent for 2-3 seconds and then comes back in it just doesn't work for me.
