  3. One of my bands, Pelafina, announced a split today with our friends and fellow Chicago band The Flips. We each have a song up on Bandcamp right now, and the full EP will be out August 25th.

Yeah, but pretty basic. Try to cast a large net and target as many different curators as possible. I went after small independent playlists because figured they'd be most responsive. Most of them have between like 1k-10k followers. I wrote about a sentence where I included big bands we've played shows alongside of, a sentence talking about how much I love their playlist and would be honoured to be accepted. Then I made sure to include the link they asked for, because they usually ask for a specific method of listening. I included that, and my bands official website.

That's about it! Always only email one person from the site and one site at a time. Don't do massive group emails to a bunch of people.

My friends, and Philadelphia locals, Honeytiger, released their second EP today on BandCamp. (It will be out on all major streaming services next Friday.) These guys have been working their way up in the local Philly scene and I wanted to give them a shout out here to help increase their exposure. (I also think its a damn good EP!) Their style is a little tough to define but I think it falls somewhere between The White Stripes style garage rock with the darker tones of The National?

    Thanks to anyone who listens!

Hi All - I used to be in a band called A Common Year (we existed in the absolutepunk.net days). A member and I recently launched a new project called Night Run and released our first song.

Recommended if you enjoy clean guitar, light electronic sampling, big beats and vaguely somber lyrics. If you hate it, that's cool too. Appreciate anyone who checks it out regardless!

J.Pump brings his latest song "Inside This Place (Our World)" which is an ode to the people stuck in bad situations making bad decisions and a remembrance of the situations in the past that have been deplorable due to a system who says they care when in fact they probably do not due to the difference in living situations for all of us.

Haven't been on this forum since it was AbsolutePunk, but I just put out a record last week on Library Collaborative out of Pittsburgh titled "Sigiriyah" . It's melodic punk meets blues/classic rock; for fans of Pile, Fugazi, Neil Young, Pink Floyd (i know, weird combo) check it out though at:

This is probably the proper place to post this sort of thing, but my good friends in NC (who operate under "The Oddboy Collective") are curating a month of shows at Snug Harbor in Charlotte with a different lineup every Wednesday in September. My band is reuniting for the 9/27 date and I'm super psyched. If you're an NC person, come hang out!
