View attachment 2206 First post and it's shameless self promotion - calligrams.bandcamp.com - four way split with a bunch of friends here in CT, mostly garage/powerpop/indie stuff - digital and 12" - deuces!
We are about to release our 2nd full-length next month. We recorded with Jim Wirt (Incubus, Something Corporate, Fiona Apple). Would love for you to have a listen to our first single Kenopsia!
Bands: I'll be helping out with the Platinum Audio Facebook Live Event tomorrow evening. Jake Floyd of The Orphan The Poet is the special guest! Just add Jake Bryant if you aren't already friends with him to be notified when we start streaming (8PM EST). Here are the topics we'll be talking about: How to book your own shows and have a great turn out. How to turn your online fans into real fans. How many hometown fans it takes to become a success. How and when to start touring. How to open for bigger bands. How to be a productive member of your scene. As always this will also be an open forum for questions about these topics or about others, including what TOTP has been up to with their new EP and what they have coming up in the near future! Be sure to tune in to learn more about making your band a success and reviving your music scene! Please share this with anyone you think would really get something out of it.
Just got word that @stillbrazy will be behind the boards on my upcoming psychedelic/chillwave EP, so keep your eyes peeled
My wife and I just started a website for people to share things they have created. We will be mostly focusing on writing , but are more than open to photography, painting, video, really art of any kind is welcome. Our hook, because of course you have to have one, is that we will be putting out awesome full color, hardcover, quarterlies featuring a curated selection of the pieces we receive. We also have a few graphic designers lined up to do short run posters based on some of our favorite submissions. We would love for everyone to check out the site, submit things, share it with friends and family who may be interested. All of our social media links can be found at the site. Thanks! www.bearflagwritingcompany.com
Hi everyone! My band played a very spur of the moment and bare bones quick set the other night. Our friend filmed it for us and did an amazing job. Here is our song Heart Contact: I'd really love to know what all of you think, thanks!
My band Feed Them To The Forest just dropped our new single - would love any feedback! "A unique British take on the emotionally charged rock sounds of bands like Taking Back Sunday and The Used."

I'm posting this in a couple other places around the forums so I apologize if you've already seen it... Hey everyone. In honor of completing my first full-length record, I decided that today would be a good day to release the last of the string of standalone singles I've been putting out over the last couple months. Please give it a listen if you're so inclined, and don't be afraid to give me some feedback, ask questions, and just let me know what you think! Oh, and of course, if you feel like sharing it with a friend, I'd absolutely love for you to do so! I hope you enjoy it! (This song was produced and mixed by Nick Diener, and mastered by Mark Michalik. I play all of the instruments and wrote all music and lyrics, while Jack Weir and Ethan Laymon contributed vocals).
I play in a band called The Wild Young Hearts. We're from Van Nuys California. We sound like The Strokes and The Cars had a baby or something. thewildyounghearts.bandcamp.com facebook.com/thewildyounghearts soundcloud.com/thewildyounghearts
I play bass for this band but I barely appear on this record. That said, I can happily say that I'm a HUGE fan of this record. I love listening to it and playing these songs, and I hope you'll love it too! It can be picked up for $6 at Bandcamp, iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, etc., and if it's not on Spotify yet, it should be within the next few days. RIYL: I the Mighty, newer Thrice, Coheed & Cambria-lite, heavy alt-rock
Good Music, Some Mayonnaise, and a Dream Hi! My name is Rae Forbes, I am a musician based out of Berklee College of Music in Boston. I am currently raising $10,000 so that I can make my first professionally produced album. I am a little more than halfway to my goal, (around $5,400) with only a week and a half to go. In order to bring more awareness to the campaign, I have made the decision to publicly embarrass myself in the form of an online concert where I both perform, and have gross things poured onto my head at the same time. Anyone who donates $40 or more to my campaign will be able to get the link to the online concert at Concert Window, and will also have the option to choose what will be poured on me while I perform. Will there be raw egg? Baby food? Mayonnaise? Who knows! Participants will have the unique pleasure of listening to awesome music, and having a good laugh at the same time. The concert will air Sunday, July 31st at 5:00pm. This concert should be a good testament to the fact that I would do literally anything to make my dreams happen. You can visit my campaign here: indiegogo.com/projects/rae-forbes-debut-studio-album/x/14208605#/ You can also listen to my new single that I’ve made with my producer, and is a great example of what the album would sound like: AND you can watch the awesome music video that I just released for it:
I run a tiny record label, we're a couple of releases in and, as most labels are, we're kinda hurting for cash. If anyone hears anything they like and wanted to buy it, that'd be awesome: Furtherskyrecords.bandcamp.com
