Hi everyone, here is my first selfmade sound story "in the monastery". For the melody I´ve used GarageBand on IPad. For the video I´ve used AI Midjourney. Midjourney is an AI which can draw a pircture depending on the text which I write to the AI bot. Why Sound Stories? I love soundtracks! And recently I discovered, that I also like to compose my self. I never have been to music school. So I sit back and imagine a picture, or a story in my head and my fingers automaticly transfer them into music, as soon as they hit the piano. I am amateur. But I love composing. So if I would be in a position to compose a soundtrack for a movie or a scene, thats how it would sound like. Why videos? Well I want you to see, what I saw in my head as I was writing that piece of music. But the music it self is still in the foreground and the main part of the creation. Enjoy! Hey everyone, I am in a Winnipeg Punk band called "Shit Happens". We just released a lyric video for "Hands Up Don't Shoot" "Hands Up Don't Shoot" Here's what it is about: Meanwhile... in Canada Canada isn't without their flaws. This video compares the atrocities that happened in the Residential Schools compared to the #blacklivesmatter movement and the senseless murder of George Floyd at the hands of police. The Black Lives Matter movement started in 2013 after after the acquittal of George Zimmerman in the shooting death of African-American teen Trayvon Martin 17 months earlier in February 2012. Thousands of children died in residential schools and their bodies rarely returned home. Many were buried in neglected graves. Residential Schools were facilities that were meant to strip the culture of "Indian" children, and teach them how to be "civilized" Although this in itelf is reprehensible, something far more nefarious was happening. Children were beaten, abused sexually and mentally and killed. To date, there are over 3000 known deaths, but the actual number greatly exceeds that estimate. The Residential Schools caused generations of trauma for families who lost children, especially for those who's bodies have never been recovered.
