two different things, drummer got kicked out for one reason the singer had other allegations that they ignored
2 questions First, does this usually sell out? Secondly, anyone know about the Detroit venue. Plan on making the trip there but have only been to Detroit twice and the last time was 7 years ago, so I don't really remember anything about the area.
I can answer the first question. Philly sold out in 2014 about a couple days before the show. But the Philly venue is smaller than Detroit and Orlando.
So, I went through a list of bands that have played Self Help Fest in the past to try and figure out bands that could be added for some fests, and some bands that are ruled out for some or all Self Help Fests. Not Happening: -Thy Art Is Murder (Europe/UK tour starts 9/29, US Tour with Decapitated doesn't coordinate) -Sleeping With Sirens (@ Louder Than Life on 9/30, fall tour doesn't coordinate) -The Amity Affliction (Tour with Motionless In White doesn't coordinate) -Secrets (Tour with Slaves doesn't coordinate) -In Hearts Wake (European/UK tour) -Motionless In White (Headlining tour doesn't coordinate) Not All Dates Ruled Out: -Beartooth (Philly a possibility; @ JJ Sonic Boom on 9/30 and Rock Allegiance on 10/7) -Pierce The Veil (Philly a possibility; fall headliner doesn't coordinate with Orlando) -Real Friends (Playing Philly. Opening for Neck Deep in UK starting 10/4; Orlando unlikely and Detroit ruled out) -State Champs (Philly ruled out with Pittsburgh show. No dates currently announced from 9/25 to 11/11) -Volumes (Maryland date on 9/30 and Philly date with Issues on 10/3; could still play Detroit) -Every Time I Die (European tour starts 9/29. Could play Philly) -Silverstein (European tour starts 9/29. Already playing Philly) Other Possibilities: -The Word Alive (TBA fall tour) -Knuckle Puck (TBA fall tour) -Whitechapel (Rumored fall tour) -Emmure (Rumored fall tour) -Fit For A King (Rumored fall tour) -Suicide Silence (TBA fall tour for The Cleansing's 10 year anniversary) -Senses Fail (New album this fall) -Asking Alexandria (Doing multiple US fests, no other dates currently announced) -The Wonder Years (Rumored fall tour) -August Burns Red (New album this fall, doing multiple US fests, almost always do a fall headliner)
Just looked into this, josh Woodard apparently threw a bunch of glass bottles at his ex girlfriend at warped 2011 with a bunch of their staff
Anyone know when more bands are being announced or who is the most likely for philly? I'm on the edge on whether I'm going and just hoping streetlight will jump on since there from the area.
Slaves and Secrets have September 10th off. The tour routing makes me believe they could be on the undercard.
Philly and Orlando are both amazing and Detroit is so disappointing, honestly. There are bands I'd watch, but none of the exclusives get me as excited as anything from the other dates.
I'll still go to Detroit even though the undercard is dissappointing for the most part. But Rise Against, Underoath, Wage War and of course ADTR makes with worth driving the couple hours to go see.
