Good record. I don’t think it can be understated how good of a job Taylor Young did producing this record. “Watcher at the Well” sounds absolutely pristine The commentary track is cool too
I think they have settled nicely into this dark The Cure/Depeche Mode indie rock. His vocals are definitely the best they have ever been.
the way he does these bizarre vocal melodies has a way of completely recentering a lot of these songs for me. particularly feeling this tonight also sometimes reminds me of Tim Kinsella's singing on like Owls stuff
"can you really do something forever and never get any better" has been rattling around my brain today
