Oh shit, forgot to post that here. I love this album. I wish it were longer, but I’m just thankful to hear Charles releasing an album for the first time in more than a decade.

 

Absolutely. It has a lot more S&W-feeling moments than I expected despite the production differences. Excited to listen more.

This is incredible. Should be getting way more attention.

 

I had overplayed a lot of the Skateboard Dinosaur singles when they were released, but love this little compilation. It's a very unique project.

That being said, I need Secret & Whisper in my life. Tour, new album, Great White Whale on vinyl. ANYTHING.

Went back today just to confirm Great White Whale has no skips. Confirmed.

 

So I just saw the drummer pop up on the rapidly growing Punk Rock Drummers group on Facebook. He mentioned it was tough to get all the guys together as they all have young families now. That said, they’re trying to get things rolling again in 2025.

Thanks for the update! I was just wondering about this reunion last week.

 

I just stumbled upon this band, Kitsune, and had to do a double take. They're like a carbon copy of S&W, even from British Columbia! Has anyone checked them out before? I didn’t see them mentioned here on the forums. They have a couple of great EPs and LPs, definitely worth checking out for fans of S&W.

 

This is bonkers. They have stuff on YT that says their hometown is Kelowna. It pretty much has to be some alternate incarnation of S&W.

 

That's actually just a singer/songwriter. And they worked with Jordan Chase, so there's a direct connection right there. haha

 

He also changed his style and his name.

 

Teasing something Great White Whale-related?...!

 

Vinyl release please. I will be complete. Or full album live playthrough. Either way I want it!!!

Looks like the announcement is that they are playing Furnace Fest this year! Seems like there may be other things happening too? Personally I'm still crossing my fingers for some vinyl releases.

In light a recent news, I dug this out to listen to on my morning drive to work today
