Secret and Whisper are reuniting and (possibly) putting out new material! https://www.facebook.com/secretandwhisper/posts/485700726256476 also if anyone can teach me how to embed a facebook post beyond a link let me know
randomly thought of this band today as I do pretty much every spring at some point and remembering how much I love them
I can't remember the last time I put their albums on, I need to fix this. Very here for new music if that happens too. I always felt like they were one of those bands who broke up too soon.
Although I could never get into any single album enough to enjoy front to back, "Warrior" is just an all-time classic in this genre... time to go put it on repeat for an hour.
love this band. perfect cove era saosin substitute with imo a better vocalist. great white whale is my fav of the two full lengths but both rule
This is ultra exciting. Saw these guys play at a little grange hall in Wilmington, DE eons ago. Guess I'm throwing on GWW now.
Thank you everyone for bumping this thread, when I made it I tried to get people excited about it but no one seemed to remember this band much. I'm so hyped for new material or even just live shows, Warrior is indeed an all-time song for me too!!
eidola doesnt really sound like these guys to me but they are fantastic for sure andrew has amazing pipes. of more modern bands, ghost atlas reminds me the most of that secret and whisper/cove era saosin sound. jesse from erra's side band and he absolutely nails this vocal style
I listened to eidolas last album and teenage fantasy back to back today and they were almost identical music wise to my ears. /shrug
I just got done listening to Beauty in Destruction. Wow....the album in and of itself isn't anything spectacular, but you can totally hear the groundwork for what would become Secret & Whisper. It was a fun listen from a nostalgic perspective.
That was my favorite from thebleedingalarm's album. This reminds me I haven't listened to Stutterfly and Shreddy Krueger in a long time as well.
thebleedingalarm was the lead vocalist's band before Secret & Whisper, right? Can't say I've ever checked them out tbh, I've heard Stutterfly and Shreddy Krueger though.
