I think if the pacing was a bit slower and the series was allowed to be a bit longer this could've really leaned into the whole spy thriller thing in much the same way that a lot of the Netflix seasons felt more like crime dramas than the standard superhero fare. Instead, most of the budget went into the final fight, which wasn't even that good. Things like Loki and Wandavision (minus its final fight) prove that these shows can take place in the larger MCU and still be distinctly their own thing, but most every show that followed, except for maybe Ms. Marvel, just kind of felt like everything else we've been getting. There's one scene in Eternals that's understandably pretty controversial, but as a whole I really adore that movie, partly because it doesn't feel like it's in the MCU, it pushes the envelope and subverts our expectations of what superhero media can be. Secret Invasion brought together so many amazing actors, it's such a wasted opportunity
