Secret Invasion (Disney+)

Didn’t see a dedicated thread for this. First episode is out today.

 

Thought this was really good. Probably the best first episode out of all these shows so far

 

I know the opening credits are getting backlash for being AI generated, but I honestly thought they were visually the best opening credits Marvel has had in any of their TV shows . I didn't hear about it being AI until after the fact

 

Anyways, enjoyable show so far. A little slow moving at first, but I think it'll ramp up well.

Seeing Russel from New Girl playing the president was funny

 

Surprised that Maria Hill was killed so soon.

 

Whilst I’m no fan of AI, I thought it worked well for this.

Whole episode was great, though.

 

Very annoyed by this. Finally a good vehicle to feature the character, and they do this. Just wasted potential of a character for like a decade now.

 

Between this and Mission Impossible coming soon, the spy/action thriller part of me is going to be very happy.

 

I thought this was just fine, but I'll keep watching.

I just don't like Disney sneaking their advertising into everything. The news should just be news

 

It’s just a fun little thing for the fans tbf. I’ve seen the clips and no one bats an eyelid. And anyone who doesn’t know who they are probably looked at it and thought “that’s weird” and move on.

 

Anytime I see local news it's like 6 minutes of actual news and 18 minutes of fluff so who cares if a Skrull is in the background lol

I can already hear all the conspiracy people being like “they’re mocking us, they’re acknowledging reptilians are among us in plain sight…”

 

episode 2 was actually great. loved the extended dialogue scenes with characters who never got much time in the movies

Yeah, really great episode, that. Loving that each has been 50+ minutes too. Gives conversations time to breathe and the actors to flex their muscles. Olivia Coleman was so fucking good in her scenes.

 

I was kinda surprised how hard that "did we make it home yet?" line hit me

 

There was some real brutality this episode. Hopefully everyone’s starting to feel better about how Daredevil will be handled.

 

Was really hoping they'd reveal that was a fake out, really bummed/annoyed tbh. They then had the gall to give the whole "Don't let it be for nothing" spiel

 

Wow great episode, much better than the first. So... Do we think Nick knows that his wife is a skrull?
