When I saw this on the front page, I was expecting a break up announcement so Im happy. Hope they come back eventually

Anyone heard anything else on the status of Seahaven? Band has always put out solid material!

 

I don’t know what’s going on... some speculation on them calling it quits and a new project emerging

waiting anxously for new music - I hope it’s Seahaven and not another thing, but I’ll take whatever they offer

 

I’ll never understand how a band with a following will just fuckin ghost their fan base. Put out a tweet or something.

I was told months ago that the Bands done. Idk if they’ll announce it ever but here’s Kyles new project.

 

So sad, but I do like what Ive heard from Welcome Cafe. Any info on a release from them anywhere?

 

Thats a huge bummer if its true especially if they're just sitting on an unreleased record that we'll probably never hear. I'll always wonder how they'd progress their sound after Reverie Lagoon. I hope they clear the air at some point to at least give fans som closure.

Yeah I'd rather have Seahaven but maybe he just needs a break from that? Who knows. I enjoyed that song posted above though.

Well Kyle updated his IG bio with the WC tag and also a seahaven tag (which i don’t think was actually there before)... so maybe they’re not totally dead

Checking out Welcome Café now. Not sure how I feel about it tbh. I like a lot of it but a lot of it but the electric drums makes me just really want new Seahaven.

Edit: On my second listen, this actually improves a lot. I still prefer live drums with this sound but these songs are still great. I’m also enjoying what I hear of the lyrics

 

Picked this up a while back, was so happy when I found it in my old local vinyl store.

 

I kinda dig the EP. Its pretty subdued overall and I think its interesting to hear his voice with the beats and electronic parts they used. I think it compliemnts his vocal style pretty well here.

 

Listened to Welcome Cafe a couple times now and I actually love it. Dont think its too much of a stretch to think that Seahaven wouldve gone in that direction after Reverie Lagoon. Hope he releases a full length eventually
