He sounded a little old in general tbh, even his speech sounded like he had false teeth or something, and yeah not sure if that's a deliberate choice by McGinley and the show or if he's just older and that's how he sounds now haha
I enjoyed that much more than I expected. The new interns are obviously the weakest element, but I felt they got better as it went on, and you can already see how they’re going to develop over the season. Thought there were a couple of really great moments over the two episodes, and the whole thing just felt like an old glove. I personally don’t love that JD and Elliot are divorced, but I understand why that decision was made. Hopefully we get more Dr Cox though. Overall, I’m just really happy it’s back.
I was a little worried about this because of how much I love the series. But it really does just feel like Scrubs. There was a moment at the end of one of the episodes where I laughed my fiancee said something like "you're laughing too much for how funny it is" and I'm like I just love this show
Yeah it's a like not a day went by. I was worried too but first episode was great. Show still feels like a warm hug and is super easy and relaxing to watch. I lol'd at the berry blast joke.
My friends and I started a Scrubs podcast if anyone is interested lol Scrubs Dudes - a podcast about Scrubs https://redcircle.com/shows/eb4e5032-44b3-4dfe-b51f-9ac6f4e2c195
Finally watched the two episodes tonight. It really truly does feel like the exact same show. Granted, I have not watched the show in many years now, but it feels just right. Not totally sold on the divorce thing or having Cox move on yet, but I like what they’re doing with those decisions so far. Seeing Cox be serious and genuine to JD when he asked him back was rad. Long time coming.
I think it is also a cost cutting measure, typical streaming show in that only JD, Turk and Elliot are the only starring cast members. Everyone else is a guest starring.
very surprised by how much this didn't suck. excited for the rest of the season. not as hung up about the divorce, it's very in line with their relationship arc throughout the first 8 seasons.
there's like a 25% change they end up back together or at least hooking up after working closely together now that he's back
I would also divorce JDhe fucking sucks, all the nurses being in love with Elliott and Carla is so real
The divorce makes so much sense. JD and Elliot just seem like people that would get divorced, I think they're both children of divorce too? Anyways, if Turk and Carla got divorced then we'd have MAJOR issues.
They are playing the new season of scrubs right now in the break room at my job. It’s nice seeing everybody again, but all these new intern actors are annoying as fuck. Dr Cox sounds like he has wooden teeth lol
Feel like that heart to heart between JD and Elliot in the bathroom was shot weird lol it felt like they were filmed separately until JD walked by her to wash his hands
I’ve watched plenty of episodes, but never started from scratch. Going to make this my mission. It’s absolutely insane to me that it premiered in 01. I would’ve guessed 05? 06?
