I can't remember if she gave up on being an NP or if it was something else like being a PA or a doctor, but yeah, I think the message was that she felt fulfilled and important doing what she does already
hmm makes sense I guess The new revival of Scrubs, debuting on ABC on February 25, picks up with the same characters 17 years later, but Braff and Faison say fans should note that what they saw onscreen before was kind of a Ghost of Christmas Future thing: a possibility, not a certainty. “I don’t know if everyone remembers this, but the finale’s happy ending is all in J.D.’s imagination,” Braff tells Esquire for this exclusive first look at the new series. “It’s what his hopes and dreams are for the future. But as we all know, as living on earth, our hopes and dreams don’t necessarily all come true.”
I mean, I guess. Always felt like that was the future. Can certainly see how they can spin it that way, but not a big fan of it.

I mean, I don’t think JD’s fantasy of the future was ever a hidden takeaway from what I consider a perfect finale. It didn’t really matter if it actually came true or not. Even if they don’t have a defined arc for these characters in the new run of the show, it’ll be okay. If it falls short of My Finale, I have plenty of practice forgetting that subsequent seasons exist.
That makes me think that there's a funny joke/4th wall break/something like that in there by having Shawn and Gus show up on the show for a cameo, maybe in a JD daydream lol. Would never happen obviously but it's cool knowing he's a fan of Psych
I thought the trailer looked incredibly mid, but this is cool that it’s getting good reviews Scrubs First Reviews: A Return to What Made the Original Great | Rotten Tomatoes
It wasn’t until Doozer realized that the heart of Scrubs was the key to success that they started making shows of the calibre of Ted Lasso and Shrinking. The focus on that is why I think this reboot could actually work. I like all of Lawrences shows, but there’s a reason we aren’t talking much about Cougertown today. Funny, great cast, but lacked the core elements that made it feel true.
As long as it’s half decent, I’ll be okay with it. I’m just excited to see these characters again tbh. I rewatched the whole thing late last year for the first time in years and years and it got me a little to hyped for this.
She recently made an appearance in Shrinking, so this wasn't a huge surprise to me, but it is a good fit.
As for Scrubs, the new arc will follow the original’s intended series finale, not the actual one. “We picked up this year as if the eighth year was the finale, and we’re starting now,” Lawrence said.
