This album is fucking brilliant!!

 

This is really good.

I can't get over how much the riff in "Fantasy" sounds like Basement.

 

Yeah this rips. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t wish Kat screamed a bit more on here, specifically in the back half, but the songs are so good that’s at most a very very minor “complaint”

Enjoying this a lot! I've always wanted to be into this band, because I've always liked certain aspects of their music, but it's never quite clicked. I think this is it!

 

Love the drum switch up in the latter half of Tonight (I'm Afraid)

 

just wrapped up my first listen of this.

remember Milk Teeth??? because this sounds sooooo much like them it's crazy

 

It's a cursed comparison because of where White Lung ended up but it reminds me of their latter material at times.

This is pretty solid but I do miss Kat’s screams and feel the absence of it in the second half of the record big time.

 

Yeah, "Suffer The Fool" is kind of a momentum killer imo.

 

I actually wish there was less screaming on here. Most of it kinda feels perfunctory. They’re much better as an alt rock band than a hardcore one to me

Seems like she's still getting comfortable with singing. The screams sounded awesome. They kind of did the band dirty on the mixing. Glad they're getting this kind of exposure, though.

 

Yeah, those vocals are too low wtf

I do not really like this at all unfortunately, her singing sounds so lethargic to me that when she screams it doesn't even have that much juice it just sounds like everything is clashing really badly. Instrumentally not much better either, sounds like a band trying to write Glow On but without the songwriting chops. Drummer is good but even he's kinda clashing too honestly. Really just kinda sounds like everyone in the band is playing in a different band lol
