This has me super excited. I was expecting more of a comics adaptation for some reason. To hear that it’s not really a straight film OR comics adaptation is really really exciting.
I expected a straight comic adaptation but then saw a while ago that there’s new material. But I didn’t think it’d be *so* different that a reviewer would feel the need to keep their mouth shut to avoid spoilers, so that’s interesting
Love this so far. second episode is definitely not from the graphic novels. Like getting to see more of the the evil exes
Only three episodes in but this is genuinely blowing me away. Surpassed every one of my HIGH expectations. Like, how did they do this???!?
I just finished, and I can’t help but feel so lucky this got made. Genuinely never believed we’d have a new original story in this world and I couldn’t be more happy with it.
I'm high as shit watching this right now lol. I like a lot of stuff about it but there are some awkward storyline moments and clunky line deliveries that drag it down a bit. like what they're doing with Roxy a lot especially
As a long time fan of the comic, for whom the movie was a near religious experience... ...this series absolutely rules and I feel so lucky that its a thing.
Certainly didn't plan to nearly binge this entire thing in one day but couldn't stop myself. One more episode to go and I've absolutely adored the series so far. So many fun blink-and-you'll-miss-it gaming references, especially in episode 7.
Wow. This is fantastic. Love the comics, love the movie, and love even more that this is new and fresh. Can 100% see me rewatching this a ton.
thought this was just a straightforward adaptation so the ending of ep 1 blew my mind sciencesaru went off, especially those skating scenes. this is really something special
I had no idea this wasn't just an adaptation of the movie so it's been an unexpected and welcome surprise to watch this
So for me the fact that it wasn't an adaptation of the comics was actually a little disappointing and it threw me off for the middle few episodes until I finally settled into enjoying it for what it was. I did love it by the end and think it will be a perfect companion piece to the main story, but I really think the intentionally misleading advertising wasn't really necessary here, I'm sure people would have been just as onboard knowing going in that it was a what-if story starring Ramona Minor complaint though, I'm sure I'll love it even more on a rewatch knowing what I'm getting
