Video makes the song better for me. TDE consistently has the best rap videos imo

 

Performed Numb Numb Juice with another new one, Chopstix

 

Chopstix ft. Travis Scott out at midnigh

 

He pushed it back to next week due to Nipsey's death

 

oh weird, must have just done it because the track was already out overseas and... "out there" if you will. Also it's pretty good.

yeah this is pretty underwhelming. still have faith in q to deliver a classic album.

He usually has one weaker single from each album though

 

Yeah but I wasnt huge on Numb Numb Juice either. This sound also seems completely at odds with comments he’d made before about being a gangster rapper and not conforming to trends in rap etc

 

I love 16/17 songs on Blank Face and these two songs don't come close to those

 

yeah wow pretty boring which is the worst thing a guy like Q can be

 

I think Numb Numb Juice is great but I'm not feeling this one

This album was insanely good. Highly underrated. Seeing Q perform it live was mindblowing.

 

Yeah still one of my fave hip hop albums of the last decade.

 

Took the words out of my mouth. This album is long as hell but I wouldn't cut any of it (besides maybe Overtime lol)

Desperately hoping he approaches this sound again but I'm not sure how likely that is

 

Blank face and Oxy are near god tier records in the genre if you ask me. It’s a shame CrasH Talk was such a misstep..

I still can't get over how bad Chopstix is lol

 

lmao forgot he even released that album, when this was bumped I was like “wow can’t believe it’s been 5 years since new Q”

 

I do feel a little bad because I think I remember him responding to people on Twitter expressing their dislike of Crash Talk but like.....yea going from Blank Face to that album is a rough transition

 

I was being kind when I said it was a misstep lol

CrasH Talk is a straight up flop in virtually every way. I hope we get a new record in 2022 that’s a return to form.
