sounds a lot like stuff I've heard from him before and not liked but glad people are seeing something in it that I don't
Song is cool! Could do without the phaser effects on the vocals but otherwise this is the most fully fleshed-out version of a direction he's been hinting at for a while and I think it sounds a lot better than some (maybe even myself) anticipated. Song really picks up steam and turns into the fun kind of singalong he excels at writing by the end. Curious and excited to hear more.

This new song is actually pretty dope. Might take a minute to get used to seeing other people posting positively about something new from Max though. haha
I like it a fair bit and it's definitely a good indication of where he's going with this project. Excited to hear the full album.
Nice to actually discuss his music. Songs neat, not sure I'm going to return but it sounds like something I'd expect from Max lyric-attitude wise and hopefully he's going back to some things that worked so well in his career. The phaser thing is not the best to my ears and kinda wish the song tempo was quicker but all in all, I'm going to be listening to what he puts out if it's in a similar vein.
Yep I really like this one. Cool direction, it definitely still feels like Max, but also is distinct from Say Anything. If the whole album is this good, then I'm really excited to hear the rest. Kind of interesting this isn't one of the songs on the RSD release. Stoked on the tour too, wasn't expecting that so quick.
Also might catch him at the bottom of the hill which is funny cuz I caught him there on his first solo run as The Painful Splits
not amazing, but easily the best thing he has done in.... a very very long time. Is the song title a weird Taylor Swift reference?
haha, honestly it was more recent than I thought. That being said, maybe this is the best "solo song" of his in... even longer than 2019? How about that?
fucking love the phasers and the spoken word part honestly this fucking rules Update: the taylor swift sonic reference with "NEVER, EVER" is cash too
Revisited IDTII and Oliver Appropriate last night. Haven’t listened to IDTII since release and it’s still my least favorite material from them. Though it does have some interesting stuff. I like 17 Coked Up, Rum, So Numb and Wire Mom. Wire Mom in particular stood out to me.
The production and specifically the vocal production is just very questionable. They didn’t pull off the lo fi aesthetic
I hated the Maxim song when I first heard it. It sonically sounds better than a lot of his new stuff but... I couldn't fuck with it. After a few listens though, I enjoy it. The part where he attempts to do a little rap bridge or w/e makes me cringe but aside from that it has grown on me
